We're pleased to announce our new website will be launching before the end of the year...be sure to check it out!
THE FINAL VIRGINIA GREEN LAWN CARE NEWSLETTER FOR 2009!
As we here at Virginia Green Lawn Care are finishing up with the final applications of the season, and getting ready for the holiday season, this will be the final newsletter for this year. In January we will begin a new year of newsletters with pertinent lawn and landscape information, property of the month information, promotions, and more. If there have been things that you have enjoyed from this past year’s newsletters, or things that you would like to see us include in the future please feel free to pass this information along to us at info@virginiagreenlawncare.com. We would certainly appreciate any input that you, as the reader, may have..

MORNING FROST ON LAWNS
Please remember to wait until the frost has melted before walking on your lawn so as not to cause permanent damage to the turf. Also, as we have mentioned in previous newsletters, please try to get leaves up off of the lawn at least once a week for the health of the lawn.
Follow us on..

NOVEMBER PROPERTY OF THE MONTH WINNER!
As we finish out the Virginia Green Property of the month promotion for 2009 we pleased to announce another self-nominated winner. The Ridgway family of Midlothian began service with Virginia Green in 2007 on our Estate Lawn Care, Premium Tree and Shrub, and Aeration and overseeding programs, and they continue with these services to date. Their property was chosen for the beautiful lawn, as well as the gorgeous landscaping and as always they were up against tough competition. I hear that they are stirring up a healthy neighborhood rivalry, and now they have some bragging rights. As always the Ridgways will receive a $50 credit toward future services and their lawn care technician David, as well as their tree and shrub technician will each receive a gift card.
We appreciate all nominations and as we move into 2010 I would suggest that homeowners get their cameras ready so that they can send us a high resolution photo of their property in jpeg format. These submissions can be sent to info@virginiagreenlawncare.com. Keep sending in your photos, we love to see the results of our combined hard work.
PRE-PAY DISCOUNT MAILING FOR 2010 WILL BE GOING OUT SOON
In the upcoming weeks Virginia Green Lawn Care will be mailing out our annual pre-payment letter to our customers. This letter will confirm the program and services that the customer is receiving, and offer a discount for those who wish to pre-pay for their services for 2010. As with all of our services, customers may take advantage of this offer by mailing in a check, scheduling an online check through their bank, or calling our office with a Visa, MasterCard, or American Express Card payment. Please watch your mail for this offer.
CHRISTMAS PLANTS
This information appeared in our December 2008 newsletter and we felt that it would be pertinent to repeat it this year. Christmas plants are great to have around the house for the holidays. The flowering poinsettia and the Christmas cactus are two of the favorites. To prolong the life of a flowering poinsettia, keep it moist and protect it from being chilled or subjected to drafts. Keep it in full sunlight between 65 and 72 degrees Fahrenheit. The Christmas cactus will be coming into bloom. Reduce watering to prolong the blooming period. Keep in full sun at 70 degrees. If the buds drop and the stems shrivel on your Christmas cactus, look for root injury caused by dry soil. Be sure to remove or punch holes in the decorative foil around holiday plants or it will collect water and cause roots to die.
New Customer Referrals:
Your referrals are our best advertising tool! Do not forget we are still offering $25 discounts for each new customer. These referral discounts are applied to future services and are unlimited.
Let us know your friend or
neighbor´s name and address. We will handle the rest. Thank you again for your support and keep up the good work!
