July 2009 "Property of the Month" Winner

Starting with the month of July Virginia Green updated our Property of the Month program and began accepting nominations from homeowners to enter their home in the Property of the Month judging. We are pleased to announce that for the first time since we started this program, we have a self-nominated winner.

The Jarvis family of Richmond began service with Virginia Green Lawn Care on our Estate program last fall. In September, Virginia Green aerated and overseeded the lawn. As you can see, the lawn looks terrific, and the comments from the Jarvis family are that they are “very pleased with the appearance of their weed free lawn.”

As always, as the winners, the Jarvis family will receive a $50.00 credit toward a future service with Virginia Green Lawn Care. In addition Brian, the technician that cares for their property, will also receive a gift card for his efforts. We will continue to accept nominations from homeowners for the Property of the Month program. Simply email us at property@virginiagreenlawncare.com and attach a current photo of your property in jpeg format. Nominations received from the 1st through the 15th of each month will be entered into the judging for the following month. We look forward to receiving your nominations and viewing the photos of your property.

Please continue to water!

We cannot overstress the need for water at this time. Many lawns that we visit are showing the signs of a full day of high heat and direct sunlight. Virginia Green Lawn Care suggests watering at least two to three times a week, putting out ¾ of an inch to an inch of water with each watering session. In the absence of a rain gauge, a small tuna can placed in a couple of the zones will track the amount of water that you are putting out.
