May 2009 "Property of the Month" Winner

We are proud to announce that the Fitz-Hugh family of Richmond, VA, is the winner of the May Property of the Month contest. Brown patch season will be upon us soon!

Brown Patch is a lawn disease that affects fescue lawns in our area. This lawn disease flourishes when daytime and nighttime temperatures stay above 70 degrees, and humidity levels remain above 75%. Brown Patch disease can quickly overtake a thick, lush lawn and turn it into a thin, patchy lawn which may last until fall.

Virginia Green´s Estate Lawn Care Program includes a series of three fungicide applications designed as a preventative program to keep brown patch from occurring. If you are not already on our Estate Lawn Care program we recommend switching to this more comprehensive program which also includes grub control and additional weed control. While the cost of this service is more per visit throughout the year, the results in August are worth the additional expense.
