WATERING IS VERY IMPORTANT THIS TIME OF YEAR!
The evening thunderstorms that we have been having lately have been nice, however they alone are not providing enough irrigation to sustain the lawns during this extremely warm weather. Virginia Green Lawn Care suggests watering 2 to 3 times a week, providing .75” to 1.0” of water with each session. All of our territory managers, and service managers, are encountering many lawns that are not receiving enough water, and the health of the lawn is suffering. As we have mentioned previously, if you are unsure of how much water you are putting out with each watering session we suggest using a flat bottom pan, or a tuna can to catch the water.
LAWN DISEASES ARE SHOWING THEMSELVES IN OUR AREA!
Virginia Green Lawn Care has applied the first fungicide application for customers on our Estate Lawn Care program as a preventative measure to combat lawn diseases. We will be out for the second fungicide application, which includes grub control, in three to four weeks to maintain coverage on the lawn. If you are a customer on our Premium Lawn Care program and see signs of a lawn disease developing please contact our office so that we can discuss treatment options.
